Concept
Inspired by the fascinating desert and topography of Ras Al Khaima, the idea is to represent the continuity and movement of sand dunes in a simple yet elegant way. The color palette consists of earthy tones, with accents of copper with various tones of blue.

The story is focused on showcasing Al Sadou, the traditional Emirati weaving throughout the hotel. Moving away from the typical ‘heritage corner’ approach, a display is created in the lobby to showcase different artifacts that include finished Sadou pieces, wool rolls, tools used to weave, as well as other items. The furniture is set back to invite visitors to walk behind it and learn about the rich culture of RAK. Different photographs of Emirati women weaving wool and contemporary sadou paintings are placed in the guest rooms and corridors.
Concept
Rocky mountains, clear blue sea, and the sand tones of Ras Al Khaimah are woven together to create the fresh color palette of the guest rooms. The Sadou making story is extended from the public areas to the room and corridors to create a unifying theme for the whole hotel.
